Vicem Yachts with an important and strategicbusiness expansion, enlarged its horizons beyond mahogany construction into high-tech composite construction with three new sleek, fast yachts for its Vulcan Line: VULCAN 46m sold in July 2012, VULCAN 32m/105’ MY BRONKO I, that on November the 13th 2012 was ready for its technical launch (delivey expected end of November 2012), and VULCAN 35m/118’ currently under construction, will appear in March 2013 for its launch.

VULCAN 32 M RPH

Frank Mulder’s idea was to create a sleek and sinuous yacht line without compromising interior spaces, which on unit n°1 is designed by Wetzels Brown Partners.  The raised pilot house configuration provides excellent main deck spaciousness and the owner can enjoy a standard master cabin forward on the main deck while the VIP guests have a full beam suite below decks.  The exterior sporty profile complements a dynamic boating lifestyle. Impressively, the vessel can also achieve a range of 1,350 Nm while navigating at a fin-stabilized speed of 12 knots, all within RINA Short-Range Charter class certification. The Vicem Vulcan 32mis a raised pilothouse design uniquely featuring easy access to the foredeck both from the boat deck on the port side and the main deck on the starboard side, creating a full beam on-deck master stateroom. In addition to four guest staterooms (total of 5 cabins), the yacht has two crew cabins (with access from the galley), all with en-suite heads. The main tender is on the fly-bridge deck with room for two personal watercrafts in a transom garage.

Vicem has entered the super-yacht segment with serious ambitions and with no compromise to the highest quality building materials and technologies that can be compared to Northern European Shipyards” says Sebahattin Hafizoglu, Vicem Yachts Founder – Chairman of the Board of Directors.

THE VULCAN SERIES FROM VICEM

In order to continue with speeds in the 20 plus knots range and keep draft as shallow as possible for USA/Bahamas operation, Vicem decided on Cored Fiberglass construction for this series. The first step was joining forces with Dutch naval architect/designer Frank Mulder who has designed many well known fast mega-yachts worldwide. To utilize the state of the art in fiberglass yacht construction, Mulder specified Core-Cell and Epoxy resin for the entire structure. Core-Cell has the best characteristics of any core material for “off gassing”, insuring a finished hull and superstructure that can be painted in any color. The hull and superstructure are also post-cured with large heat blankets after lamination, ensuring a fair and smooth appearance with any color. The Vulcan Line yachts are built in a state-of-the-art facility in Antalya, Turkey.

Composite materials, applied with resin and sandwich techniques, are chosen to achieve the best possible strength-to-weight ratios. Integral tank construction was also introduced with the Vulcan series, which provides more internal room for accommodations and the ability to carry more fuel for oceangoing trips at lower speed. Frank Mulder designed fast hulls for this Vicem Vulcan series with a fine entry for rough sea conditions that are also very fuel efficient at slow displacement speeds. RINA certification are always available on Vicem Yachts; on the Vulcan series RINA and MCA are part of the project, which brings Vicem to a new level for offshore cruising and chartering.

A world-class, fast, light yacht for charter or private use, the Vulcan Series adds long range capabilities for ocean voyages together with an outstanding and durable low maintenance exterior. Due to the latest design and construction techniques, interior volume has been increased when compared to many other yachts in the same size range. Interiors are tailored to client requests and can be fully integrated with exterior colors, styling and finishes due to Vicem’s “total customization” attitude and superior construction techniques which allow finishing in dark colors and/or metallic painting.
