Moonen Yachts has reached a significant construction milestone with the successful marriage of the hull and superstructure of YN208, the tenth hull in its acclaimed 122 Martinique series, which took place at Moonen’s shipyard in the Netherlands.

Moonen Yachts_122 Martinique-Measuring 37.4m (122’8”) with a gross tonnage of 345GT, YN208 is constructed with a high-tensile steel hull and aluminium superstructure. She combines the proven capabilities of the Martinique platform with extensive opportunities for owner personalisation.

As the tenth Martinique, YN208 also benefits from the experience of owners across the series. Most recently, Moonen revised the layout of the Owner’s Stateroom to introduce separate his-and-hers bathrooms, replacing the previously proposed single en-suite.

Rather than treating this as a one-off request, Moonen saw an opportunity to incorporate the idea into YN208 from an early stage, allowing the arrangement to be properly integrated into the overall design.

“We’re always speaking with our owners and asking them what they would do differently or what they might improve,” says Nicky van Zon, Managing Director. “One of the things that came out of those conversations was the idea of a proper his-and-hers bathroom, so we decided to incorporate that into the next speculation build yacht YN208.”

The revised arrangement is another example of Moonen evolving the Martinique platform in response to real-world owner experience, while retaining the qualities that have made the series successful.

With the hull and superstructure now joined, YN208 moves into the outfitting stage, bringing her one step closer to her scheduled June 2027 delivery.
