RALLYE DES ILES DU SOLEIL 2026
Rallye
START OF THE 8TH EDITION OF THE RALLYE DES ÎLES DU SOLEIL 2026 FROM MARINA JANDIA (CANARIAS) TO MARIE-GALANTE, GUADELOUPE.
MARIE-GALANTE: A NATURAL AND NOW ESTABLISHED FINISHING DESTINATION
RALLYE DES ÎLES DU SOLEIL 2026–For the eighth time, the Rallye des Îles du Soleil will set course for Marie-Galante, Guadeloupe, to conclude this great sailing crossing of the Atlantic. This loyalty is no coincidence. Over the years, the island has established itself as a particularly popular finishing destination for crews and as one of the defining features of this nautical adventure.
After several weeks of preparation and a demanding ocean crossing, Marie-Galante offers sailors a finish worthy of their adventure. The island provides an immediate return to land in a preserved, authentic environment that is deeply connected to the sea. Its landscapes, beaches, turquoise waters and sheltered anchorages — including Saint-Louis, which welcomes the Rallye des Îles du Soleil fleet — together with the warmth of the Guadeloupean welcome, create the ideal conditions to celebrate the finish and share the first emotions of the crossing.
But Marie-Galante appeals for more than its exceptional setting. It embodies a different way of experiencing the Caribbean: more authentic, more peaceful and closer to its people, traditions and local know-how. The island offers crews a genuine opportunity to unwind after the ocean crossing, while discovering its heritage, culture, cuisine and unique identity.

For a transatlantic sailing rally, a finishing destination must also be able to meet the very practical needs of sailors: welcoming boats, safe and suitable anchorages, services, crew support and the ability to create a genuine celebration around the finish. In all these respects, Marie-Galante is particularly well suited to the spirit of the Rallye des Îles du Soleil.
And above all, arriving in Marie-Galante is not simply the end of a crossing. It is the beginning of a new adventure. An opportunity to discover the Guadeloupe archipelago, the Caribbean and a destination that naturally makes visitors want to extend their journey.
This eighth arrival in Marie-Galante is therefore a testament to the long-standing relationship between the Communauté de Communes de Marie-Galante, its President Maryse Etzol, and the Rallye des Îles du Soleil. A mutual loyalty built on shared values: a passion for the sea, a spirit of adventure, authenticity, conviviality and the pleasure of sharing.
DEPARTURE FROM MARINA JANDIA FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR
Initiated in 2017, a genuine partnership has developed over the years with Calero Marinas.
Calero Marinas owns and operates four marinas across the Canary Islands: Puerto Calero and Marina Lanzarote on the island of Lanzarote, Marina La Palma on the island of La Palma, and now the brand-new Marina Jandia on the island of Fuerteventura.
A leading name in marina management in the Canary Islands, Calero Marinas has always maintained close ties with Grand Pavois Organisation and the Rallye des Îles du Soleil, offering high-quality facilities, a warm welcome, professional services and facilities that meet the highest European standards.
The newest marina operated by Calero Marinas, Marina Jandia, is located in the town of Morro Jable, at the southern tip of Fuerteventura. Designed by architect Néstor Pérez Batista, it draws direct inspiration from traditional Canarian architecture.
The marina offers a comprehensive range of nautical services and 310 new berths for boats ranging from 6 metres to 50-metre superyachts, together with a modern leisure, shopping and dining area, all set within an iconic and unique maritime environment.
