World Premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show:The first electric sailing Sunreef 100 Eco

Sunreef 100 Eco-Sunreef Yachts has unveiled the first Sunreef 100 Eco built for sailing at the Monaco Yacht Show. Presented to selected visitors and members of the press, the electric sailing catamaran has recently been delivered to her owner, a returning Sunreef owner. Named Ipharra, she combines the celebrated living spaces of the Sunreef 100 with the company’s latest sustainable technologies.

The yacht introduces the Sunreef 100 Eco’s defining features, including a generous owner’s suite on the main deck, expansive outdoor living areas, and a vast modular beach club. Equipped with Sunreef’s advanced electric propulsion system and state-of-the-art Solar Skin technology, Ipharra represents a new chapter in sustainable luxury sailing.

Marine elegance and comfort

Ipharra has been designed to offer an exceptional living experience on the water. Architectural levels of craftsmanship combine with generous volumes to create an atmosphere of serenity and effortless comfort.

The spacious salon perfectly reflects this philosophy, offering deep sofas, a ten-person dining table, and a dedicated coffee bar, all surrounded by generous glazing that fills the interior with natural light. Smart design features, including a retractable projector screen concealed within the headlining, complement an interior that embraces an authentic yachting character rather than a residential aesthetic.

Occupying pride of place forward on the main deck is the owner’s suite. Glass privacy panels separate the sleeping area from the bathroom and shower while allowing light to flow freely throughout the space. The suite also enjoys private access to the secluded foredeck terrace.

Designed to accommodate both family cruising and educational voyages, Ipharra offers five additional guest cabins. A single cabin adjacent to the owner’s suite is ideal for younger family members, while four en suite guest cabins in the hulls can be configured as either doubles or twins, providing maximum flexibility for different cruising programs.

An authentic style

Sunreef’s design team worked closely with the owner to develop a refined palette of harmonious natural materials and colors. Oak cabinetry contrasts elegantly with dark-stained oak flooring, while light upholstery, soft textiles, and carefully selected finishes create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the yacht.

Natural and indirect lighting play an equally important role in shaping the onboard ambiance, enhancing the sense of space while highlighting the refined craftsmanship found throughout the interior.

Life Outdoors

Continuing a long-standing relationship with Sunreef Yachts, the owner of Ipharra previously cruised aboard the Sunreef 102 Double Deck of the same name. His new yacht builds on that experience while embracing the next generation of sustainable sailing.

From the sheltered cockpit dining area to the expansive flybridge, every exterior space has been designed to maximize life outdoors. Panoramic views and effortless movement between relaxation and entertainment areas define the experience on board.

The Sunreef 100 Eco also elevates the beach club concept. Its powerful aft platform can be raised to carry tenders and water toys, with additional storage concealed beneath the cockpit seating. On Ipharra, the garage accommodates a pair of sailing dinghies while remaining equally suitable for jet skis. When lowered, the platform connects both hulls just above the water and provides access to fold-down side terraces, creating an exceptional waterside leisure area. Generous storage for water toys is integrated throughout the beach club and is easily accessed directly from the bathing platform.

The Technology Behind Ipharra

Beyond the lifestyle she offers, the Sunreef 100 Eco is an accomplished bluewater sailing yacht. Her towering carbon mast supports a powerful sail plan capable of delivering impressive performance, whether cruising between nearby anchorages or covering substantial daily passages. In optimal winds of 15–20 knots, she comfortably achieves speeds of 8–10 knots.

More than 250 square meters of Sunreef’s in-house developed Solar Skin are seamlessly integrated into the hull and superstructure, generating up to 49kWp of clean energy to cover all hotel loads on board.

When additional propulsion is required, twin electric engines draw power from a 770kWh battery bank, delivering quiet, efficient operation while supporting extended cruising with minimal environmental impact.

At the service of education

Ipharra‘s owner has a long-standing association with Le Rosey, one of the world’s most prestigious boarding schools. Like his previous Sunreef catamaran, Ipharra will host students as part of an educational program adapted specifically for onboard learning. The spacious open salon has been designed to support this unique role.

Operating between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, the yacht will provide a platform for studying geography, history, philosophy, marine biology, and ocean conservation. As the first sailing Sunreef 100 Eco, Ipharra will also offer students firsthand insight into renewable energy, energy efficiency, and responsible energy management at sea through her electric propulsion system and integrated solar technology.
