Floating Life Offers

Floating Life - Ocean Pearl Yacht_YachtingPleasure

A few weeks before the start of the Mediterranean yachting season, Floating Life announces the availability of a fractional ownership share in the 41-metre Ocean Pearl, the iconic superyacht designed by Foster + Partners.

Floating Life, the yacht management and brokerage company that has been involved in the project since its construction, is now offering the only share currently available in Ocean Pearl, allowing a new owner to step into the world of superyacht ownership through a well-established fractional ownership programme.

Delivered in 2010 by Rodriquez Cantieri Navali and designed by the renowned architectural studio Foster + Partners, Ocean Pearl remains one of the most distinctive superyachts on the water. Her timeless lines were considered futuristic when first unveiled and are still unparalleled in the yachting industry, having influenced many contemporary yacht designs and proving the project’s long-term vision.

Floating Life played a central role in the yacht’s development from the very beginning. Appointed during the construction phase as technical surveyor for the design team, the company supported the build and later became responsible for the yacht’s full management. Today, Floating Life continues to oversee all operational, technical and concierge aspects of the vessel, ensuring seamless ownership for all shareholders.

The fractional ownership model divides the yacht between eight shareholders, each entitled to approximately 30 nights per year onboard across the Mediterranean and Caribbean. The programme combines the emotional satisfaction of ownership with the practicality of professional management: the yacht, her experienced crew and all logistics are handled by Floating Life, allowing owners to simply step onboard and enjoy their time at sea.

The currently available share is offered at €500,000, representing a compelling entry point into superyacht ownership, granting access to the full experience of life as a superyacht owner. Owners may also place unused periods on the charter market through Floating Life’s charter department, potentially offsetting part of the annual running costs.

“Fractional ownership represents a smart and accessible entry point into the world of superyachting,” says Filippo Rossi, CCO of Floating Life. “It allows true sea and yachting enthusiasts to experience the lifestyle of an owner with a balanced ratio between investment and actual usage, combining passion with practicality in a way that is increasingly relevant today.”

“Beyond the initial owner’s share, the programme includes annual running costs of approximately €300,000, which cover the full management and operation of the yacht,” says Manuel Maiano, Yacht Broker at Floating Life. “Notably, approx. one-third of this annual fee is dedicated to a CapEx fund for constant refitting. This ensures that Ocean Pearl remains state-of-the-art and maintains its value over time, optimizing the vessel’s lifecycle while providing shareholders with a consistently flawless image.”

At 41 metres in length, Ocean Pearl offers the lifestyle of a large superyacht: expansive decks, floor-to-ceiling windows and accommodation for up to 12 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam master suite with two private terraces. Her design emphasises light, space and a contemporary residential feel rarely found in yachts of this size.

More than fifteen years after her conception, Ocean Pearl continues to turn heads wherever she cruises as a testament to the visionary design of Sir Norman Foster and to the continuous careful management and refit programme carried out by Floating Life.

With the Mediterranean season about to begin, this newly available share represents a rare chance to join a select group of international owners and experience superyacht ownership in a truly distinctive vessel.
