The British manufacturer will unveil a new addition to its electric drive portfolio, designed to meet growing demand for higher-power propulsion solutions in the marine sector. Building on the success of its established RAD 40 system, the company’s latest innovation targets applications requiring enhanced thrust and performance capabilities.

“We’re excited to be returning to METS with what we believe will be a significant event for RAD Propulsion,” said Dan Hook, CEO of RAD Propulsion. “This launch represents our response to clear market demand for scalable, high-performance electric drive systems that don’t compromise on installation flexibility or operational capability.”

In addition to the product launch, RAD Propulsion will be showcasing several innovations at this year’s show:

  • Innovation Zone display: The company’s new Power Console will be featured in METS Innovation Zone, offering attendees the opportunity to experience RAD’s all in one propulsion solution
  • App preview: Visitors to the stand will get an exclusive first look at RAD’s upcoming mobile application
  • Future product tease: The team will be dropping hints about another exciting development in the pipeline

Pete Byford, chief technology officer at RAD Propulsion, will also be participating in a panel discussion, on Wednesday 19 November from 15:30-16:00 on the Metstrade Stage. Using his expert knowledge and first hand experience from RAD, Pete will be exploring the question of “What are the main factors behind better noise, vibration performance, and is there a real example that proves it?”.
