OYSTER YACHTS REVEALS NEW FLAGSHIP, THE OYSTER 36M, ATTHE MONACO YACHT SHOW

The new Oyster 36M flagship superyacht combines rare individuality, assured bluewater capability, superyacht-scale luxury and unmistakable presence, backed by more than 50years of Oyster experience and authority

Oyster Yachts, the British builder of the world’s finest bluewater sailingyachts, today revealed the Oyster 36M, a magnificent all-new 36-metre monohull superyacht createdin collaboration with Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering.The flagship of a new generation and abold, future-facing expression of the Oyster brand, she combines greater scale, architectural sophistication, luxury, individuality and presence with the assured bluewater capability for whichOyster is globally renowned.

The reveal of the 36M follows Oyster’s surprise announcement, earlier in September, at the CannesYachting Festival, of its intention to enter the sailing catamaran segment with a completely new, fullybluewater-capable Oyster catamaran to be known as theOyster C60. Introducing the C60 in Cannes,Oyster owner and Chairman Richard Hadida and CEO Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke stressed thatwhile the C60 luxury catamaran represents an exciting extension of the Oyster range, monohull yachtswould remain at the centre of Oyster’s DNA well into the future.

The new 36 metre monohull flagship announced in Monaco today is proof positive of thatcommitment.In creating the 36M, Oyster partnered with Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering, one of the mostrevered names in sailing superyacht design.

The Oyster 36M draws on Frers’ renowned expertise inperformance-led yacht design and its heritage in racing and cruising.The Oyster 36M is a true luxury superyacht. A flagship, rather than simply a larger Oyster.Oyster’sflexibility allows each owner to personalise the yacht around their individual tastes and requirements,creating a truly individual expression of how they want to experience the world. Owner and guestareas can be configured through different cabin arrangements, interior layouts and styling, alongsidechoices in deck hardware, sail plans, keel and anchor options, and sports and adventure equipment,while the underlying architecture and engineering remain defined.

THE JOURNEY AND THE DESTINATION-A NEW APPROACH TO LIFE ABOARD

At the bow, the Oyster 36M introduces a configurable forward retreat away from the principal aft livingareas. It can be specified to meet owners’ specific requirements, including sun protection and ajacuzzi, creating a private space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. At the stern, the expansive cockpit and beach club draw life aboard towards the water. The centrepiece is ‘The Island’, a platform that can be lowered to provide generous access to the sea orraised to create an additional terrace over the water. An optional side boarding platform provides analternative point of access closer to the yacht’s centre.Between these spaces, the luxurious panoramic saloon provides 360-degree views within a protectedenvironment. A sliding glass partition opens the saloon directly into the cockpit, creating a broad andversatile inside-outside living area that can be usedin differing weather conditions.A single-level flow connects the principal living areas, allowing owners and guests to move naturallybetween quiet retreats, shared spaces, shelter and open air.Together, these spaces create a yacht designed not simply to sail between destinations, but to makeextended stays aboard effortlessly comfortable, liveable and exciting.

OYSTER BLUEWATER CAPABILITY, ENGINEERED FROM THE OUTSET

The Oyster 36M has been engineered specifically for bluewater use, with large tank capacities, spacefor spares and equipment, accessible systems and a large garage for diving, sports and owner-specific equipment. Together, these features provide the autonomy, practicality and adventurecapability required for extended time away from marinas.Its latest-generation Frers hull form incorporates a deep-V bow and wide stern, balancing safety,comfort and performance.The hull and general arrangement were developed around the demands oflong-distance sailing, with low-heel sailing, light-air performance, and speed when required toenhance the bluewater cruising experience.The emphasis on bluewater capability extends beyond the guest spaces. Technical and crew areas,machinery and core systems form integral parts of the hull development, creating a foundationaround which owners can personalise their Oyster. Pre-engineered provisions allow a range ofequipment and configurations to be incorporated without redeveloping the underlying architecture.Extensive storage, substantial tank capacity and accessible systems are designed to support greaterindependence during extended cruising.

PERSONALISATION–LUXURY WITHOUT COMPROMISE

The Oyster 36M can be configured in three-, four-or five-cabin arrangements, alongside differentinterior layouts and styling. Owners may also specify deck hardware, sail plans, keel and anchoroptions and equipment for sports and adventure activities. The approach delivers a level ofindividuality more commonly associated with custom-built superyachts. The result is a flagship that combines superyacht-scale living, long-distance capability, performance and personalisation within adefined 36-metre architecture.

A NEW GENERATION OF OYSTER DESIGN

The 36M is more than just a larger Oyster. She incorporates ideas and solutions more commonlyassociated with larger custom superyachts, raising the standard of space, comfort and functionalityat 36 metres. Frers has reinterpreted Oyster’s signature curves, glazing, and sculpted forms at greaterscale and with greater architectural presence, creating a yacht that is recognisably Oyster but with adistinct character of her own. Inside, the same ambition is expressed through an interior concept anddesign developed by Milan-based studio m2atelier, with an extensive choice of materials and finishesbrought to life through Oyster’s renowned craftsmanship. Her spatial concept and naval architectureintroduce new features to the range while retaining traditional and recognisable elements of Oysterdesign.
