Press Conference boot Düsseldorf in Gdańsk-To achieve these performances, to preserve the construction and consolidation of this image of “the largest indoor exhibition in the world” the numerous team behind the scenes of the event is working intensively for the next event…2027.

In this context, a regional meeting for specialized press members was held in Gdańsk, Poland, from October 26th to 27th. During the event, Petros Michelidakis, Director of boot Düsseldorf, presented statistics, trends, and future development plans for the exhibition, while also highlighting the importance of Poland’s nautical industry.

There were two intense days when we learned a lot of news, we met with fellow journalists and in the end of this condensed program we visited the Galeon boat factory a famous brand, Made in Poland. The organization was unbeatable and intense, however, giving us a respite to visit the beautiful city of Gdansk.

World’s largest yacht & watersports show – this year, the 58th boot Düsseldorf is taking place

•
nearly 1,500 exhibitors from around 70 countries
•
15 exhibition Halls
•
It is estimated that there are about 200,000 visitors
•
Our slogan: All water sports. One Community.
•
Due to the upcoming modernization of Hall 9 in the coming years, boot Düsseldorf is already introducing a new hall structure that will provide visitors with consistent orientation in the long term.

What changes are planned for next year?

•
Exhibitors with RIBs (inflatable boats) and dinghies/tenders from Hall 9 will find their home in the new Motorboat Hall 17, where they will be part of boot’s Motorboat Walk
•
Surfing and paddling are moving to Hall 12: With an XXL pool extended to 65 meters, a new two-level skim board course and the Surf Academy, this venue will become the new home of the international surfing and board sports scene for nine days (the Action Pool will host not only cool contests featuring professional surfers but also plenty of sessions where you can try out pump foiling, stand-up paddling, wakeboarding or skimboarding).
Together with the new canoe canal, which now winds its way around an artificial island, and the high-rope adventure course, Hall 12 is set to become an ‘Action and active Hall’.
•
Diving is now completely under one roof in Hall 13
•
the Destination Boatlife segment in Hall 14 presents charter operators, houseboats and marinas for holidays by and on the water
•
Despite the construction work, access from the main north entrance of the exhibition center to Halls 10, 11 and 12 is possible without any problems. A wide, specially protected, covered walkway guides all visitors safely through Hall 9, which is currently undergoing renovation
•
However, marine conservation and innovative, sustainable technologies will also be in the spotlight at boot 2027. In collaboration with the European Boating Industry (EBI), the blue innovation dock, for example, offers a unique forum for dialogue bringing together expertise from the political, business, technological and media sectors
