Alongside theexisting 28,000 m² of production space, the new building opens in winter 2027 and represents a €20 million investment in the future of the shipyard.
Here’s what’s going inside:
•Automated component delivery—Compact Twin vertical automaticwarehouses from Weland Solutions, bringing the right part to the right worker atthe right moment
•Solar + geothermal power—a 350-kW solar panel park supported by a 222 kWViessmann geothermal heat pump for efficient heating and cooling
•A 50-metre testing pool—the second in the factory, built to accommodate ourlargest models
•A dedicated showroom—one place where partners, dealers, customers andpress can experience the full Marex range
“For the first time, we’ll have the capacity in Lithuania to build three-deck vessels closeto 55 ft. But this isn’t just about space—it’s about building the right infrastructure: hulltesting, automated warehousing, a proper showroom, and energy systemsthat cansupport it all. A smart factory, built for what comes next.”—Saulius Pajárskas, GeneralManager, Marex Boats UABThe project is expected to create up to100 new jobsin the Kaunas region.
