LALABE Receives a Judges’ Commendation at the World Superyacht Awards 2026
LALABE has received a Judges’ Commendation at the World Superyacht Awards 2026 in the category of Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts – 35m to 39.9m. The commendation was presented last Saturday night at a black-tie gala dinner in Venice, Italy.
This recognition crowns an exceptional awards season for LALABE. Earlier this year, she was already the most decorated yacht of the evening at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards in Kitzbühel, Austria, where she claimed three awards: Outstanding Exterior Design, Best Interior Design, and Best Naval Architecture.
The World Superyacht Awards hold a unique place in the yachting world, judged exclusively by current and former superyacht owners, they are the only peer-reviewed awards in the industry. Receiving a Judges’ Commendation in this category is therefore a meaningful recognition.
LALABE is a 35-metre all-aluminium tri-deck delivered by Van der Valk in July 2025.
Designed from the waterline up by Guido de Groot, with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design and Ginton Naval Architects, she was conceived as a multigenerational family yacht, combining a fast-displacement hull capable of 17 knots with nearly 299 GT of interior volume, a beach club with sauna, and an upper saloon that opens on three sides.
This achievement would not have been possible without the people who made it happen. We extend our sincere gratitude to the owners for their vision, trust, and commitment throughout this project — it is their dream that brought LALABE to life. We are equally proud of every craftsman at our shipyard whose skill and dedication shaped this remarkable vessel.
