Oceania Allura

luxury cruise ship

Oceania Allura cruise ship-TDoS (Tillberg Design of Sweden), part of the Viken Group, has revealed details of its latest luxury cruise ship design: the 241-metre Oceania Allura.

With the first cruise ship in the range, Oceania Vista, finalised in 2023, and her sistership completed in 2025, Oceania Allura continues the same stunning design penned by TDoS.

As for the background behind the collaboration, TDoS has a long history of successfully working with NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line), the sister brand of Oceania Cruises.

As you would expect for a vessel of such high calibre, the owner’s suite is a key area on board. The space features a classic American design in red, white and blue, with its luxurious furniture and accessories used to create a relaxed feeling with coastal and marine elements.

The suite is equipped with a large balcony, a butler’s pantry and a walk-in closet. Other standout areas include the dining area with breathtaking views, the bar with its beautiful hammered metal top and a spacious living area with space for a writing desk, lush sofas, and a beautiful cabinet for the built-in TV.

Guests on board Oceania Allura can enjoy their caffeine fix in the Barista space. A coffee bar and lounge area situated on deck 14, it offers the perfect space to sit and enjoy extraordinary sea views whilst sipping a delicious cappuccino and enjoying a freshly baked croissant.

The Barista room has a classic style with a modern twist, featuring pale yellow, blue and white with eye-catching gold accents. Materials include crème and black polished marble, antique mirrors and beautiful glass chandeliers.

Alongside the serene library – where TDoS created beautiful bookcases to display Oceania Cruises‘ rich treasure of books – Oceania Allura is also home to numerous lounges for guests to take refreshment and relax.

The Concierge Lounge can be found on deck 9, which is a cosy and warm space with dark wood panels and soft neutral fabrics. Unsurprisingly, the golden cage serves as a focal point for the room’s design.

The Executive Lounge on deck 11 offers the ultimate in relaxation. A truly head-turning space, it showcases dramatic dark stone walls, a herringbone floor, custom-made decorative shelving and a mirrored ceiling. The pattern in the glass doors, ceiling and bookshelves speaks the same language to create a red thread throughout the design.

TDoS also took care of the design for numerous retail spaces on board, including a clothing and accessories shop, a cosmetic shop and a truly one-of-a-kind jewellery shop.

The cosmetic shop has a pale pink and nude colour scheme designed to be flattering to all guests. This is paired with a dark brown floor, with rose metal and mirrors offering a classic Hollywood feel, and a chandelier and perfume display creating the perfect centrepiece.

The clothing and accessories shop offers a totally different, but still tranquil atmosphere. It has a cool, modern and fresh design, with white and silver accents, backlit black onyx and a custom-made crystal and glass chandelier.

The design for the jewellery shop is inspired by the idea of a jewellery box, with midnight blue velvet wrapped glass cages where breathtaking necklaces and rings are displayed. The metal frame of the back walls creates a stunning backdrop, which is flanked by light onyx panels and veined blue marble.

Anna Silvesjö, CEO of the Viken Group, explains more about the unique concept behind the store. “The jewellery store had a private room, in which they created a golden cage made of metal. Creating this structure without making the rattling noise of the metal when the ship is moving, whilst still keeping it as a totally private space which was both elegant and luxurious, was certainly a challenge. In the end, we were truly delighted with the results.”

Indeed, as Silvesjö explains, working on the Oceania Cruises projects has been an enjoyable experience throughout for the experienced TDoS team. “It’s always a pleasure to work with the different design firms, the suppliers and contractors throughout all of the areas on board, as well as with the client, of course. The work went smoothly and has given our team a lot of fun, as well as valuable learning opportunities.”
