- As part of the Solaris Group, CNB yachts are built at 26,000-square-metre shipyard
With the launch of the new CNB 62, the iconic yacht builder CNB marks a new era of refined performance cruising, elevated design, and Mediterranean soul. Seamlessly blending the spirit of traditional bluewater sailing with the artistry and technical excellence of Italian craftsmanship, the CNB 62 is not just a new yacht – it is a bold statement about the future of elegant ocean living.

This launch is not only significant as the arrival of a new model but as the first major release under CNB’s renewed identity as part of the Solaris Group, one of the world’s most respected yacht builders. “The CNB 62 represents a perfect symbiosis of our French DNA benefitting from the exceptional expertise of Italian craftmanship,” says Vincent Arnaud, CNB Brand Director. “It’s a yacht designed for owners who expect both comfort and capability – a real bluewater cruiser that doesn’t compromise on elegance. The design and layout ensure that she can be sailed by a couple, but is not too small to invite friends and family on board.”
At 62 feet, the new CNB presents an unmistakable silhouette – sleek, powerful, and resolutely modern. Her lines are the work of long-time CNB design partner Philippe Briand, whose signature blend of purposeful geometry and fluid aesthetics is once again on full display. The vertical bow, the low-profile coachroof, and tapered side windows create a streamlined look that hints at her sailing prowess while maintaining a sense of understated luxury. Briand comments: “The CNB 62 is the worthy successor to the famous CNB Bordeaux 60. Her seaworthiness is ensured by a balanced, powerful hull combined with an extensive sail plan. The yacht is excellent for ocean cruising and maintains the elegant, timeless style of her famous predecessors.”
Designed for any conditions
The CNB 62 has numerous unique selling points, especially in terms of her exterior. She was primarily designed for owners who rely on proven CNB quality and want to maintain the greatest possible privacy – without a professional crew on board. In response to the wishes of many customers, the CNB 62 has been consistently designed as a safe and comfortable world cruiser that can also be sailed single-handed. The cockpit layout is designed so that the helmsman can cast off all lines without having to leave his position.
The helmsman is completely protected because the steering wheels of the CNB 62 are positioned very far forward, close to the cockpit seating area. This means that the entire cockpit and steering positions can be completely protected with a bimini or even a fixed hardtop. The CNB 62 can be sailed comfortably in all conditions – almost like a modern IMOCA racer, if the comparison is allowed.
The cockpit of the CNB 62 is also designed for extremely safe and comfortable cruising. High backrests characterize the guest area; thanks to a sideways offset companionway, the cockpit table can be easily passed even when fully occupied. Particularly noteworthy, however, is the carbon “Targa” arch, which stretches stylishly over the cockpit and is used to hold the mainsheet. This design and constructional trick ensures that the mainsheet does not pose a safety risk in the cockpit.

The twin helm stations are perfectly positioned for optimal visibility and control. CNB offers two different versions to protect the helm station, allowing every owner to choose the perfect solution for their sailing situation: Either a classic bimini, which is stretched between the tarp bracket and two poles made of carbon. Or a fixed hardtop that covers the helm station so far aft that even all the winches are protected. This means that this area can be completely closed off with appropriate side panels, allowing protected sailing without heavy weather clothing even in the most adverse conditions or in high latitudes!
Ample lounging spaces are integrated into the aft deck, where sunpads and seating nestle around a fold-out dining table. The retractable bathing platform transforms the transom into a private beach, providing easy water access and enhancing the onboard lifestyle for extended cruising or anchoring in secluded coves. If owners and guests need to use the tender: the longitudinally installed garage, the only practicable solution for easy launching of the tender, is a central element of the CNB 62 concept and accommodates a 2.85 metre long Williams.
Tranquility and Elegance
Step below deck and the CNB 62 reveals an interior that rivals the most exclusive residences – light, harmonious, and purposefully designed for life at sea. Created by Jean-Marc Piaton and his studio, the interior reflects the CNB philosophy of casual sophistication, where every material and form serves both function and emotion.
Two layout configurations are available, but each begins with a central saloon flooded with natural light from the panoramic windows and signature CNB skylights. The palette is soft and contemporary – think brushed oak, pale leather, and matte-finished fittings – providing a canvas of tranquility in which each element feels curated yet unpretentious.
To port, a U-shaped sofa and dining area offer panoramic views, while to starboard, a dedicated chart table and lounge create a sense of private retreat. The open-plan galley, discreetly positioned forward, is fully equipped for long voyages and social occasions alike.
The owner’s cabin, located forward, is a triumph of space and light. Framed by large hull windows, it features a central island bed, generous storage, and an en-suite with rainfall shower. Aft, two double cabins – available in twin or double configurations – offer equally refined accommodation, ensuring comfort for guests and crew without compromise. “We wanted the interior to reflect the freedom and serenity of ocean cruising,” explains Vincent Arnaud. “It’s not about extravagance, but about harmony – a place where the owner and guests feel truly at home, even in the middle of the ocean.”
Optional layouts include a crew cabin with separate access, allowing the CNB 62 to flex effortlessly between owner-operated and captain-supported use.
With the CNB 62, the brand confidently positions itself at the heart of a new sailing era – one where aesthetic refinement, bluewater capability, and owner-centric design coalesce into something greater than the sum of its parts. Vincent Arnaud: „The CNB 62 is the perfect continuation oft he very essence of CNB. This is a yacht that can cross oceans in comfort, entertain friends in Portofino, or drop anchor in remote Polynesian bays – all while embodying the quiet confidence and cosmopolitan style that CNB owners have always valued.“
The CNB 62 is not simply a yacht; it’s a return to values. A celebration of slow, purposeful travel. “For us, the CNB 62 is not a trend – it’s a vision,” concludes Vincent Arnaud. “A vision of yachting that respects the sea, embraces craftsmanship, and gives owners the freedom to go anywhere, in absolute comfort and beauty.”
