Ile de Porquerolles, France (May 20–23, 2012) – Descending on the Mediterranean for three days in May, Boston Whaler’s  EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa) team participated in the first Brunswick Press Event. The event, held on France’s beautiful  island of Porquerolles, gathered more than two dozen of the most prominent members of the specialized press.
Over the course of three days, the EMEA team accompanied the journalists as they tested three brand-new Boston Whaler  models: the sleek and sporty 170 Dauntless, the intrepid 210 Montauk and the well-appointed 285 Conquest. Also on hand were  the bestselling 230 Dauntless and several boats from fellow Brunswick brands including Sea Ray and Bayliner. The weather ran the gamut from very strong winds and heavy rain to warm, sunny skies, affording the journalists a chance to experience each Boston Whaler in a variety of conditions and photograph the boats running in both high waves and calm waters.
After each test run, the group returned safely to the marina at Porquerolles to share in friendly discussion. The event also gave them the opportunity to speak with Boston Whaler’s EMEA representatives and other senior members of
Brunswick’s managerial staff, including Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler’s Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service worldwide. Says Vaughn: “From start to finish, it was a very successful event. I met great professionals, with very deep knowledge of our products and markets. Our discussions and their suggestions will surely be of further inspiration to continue building a
stronger Boston Whaler for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.” In total, 32 journalists attended the event in representation of 16 different countries and 25 specialized magazines. About Boston Whaler: For more than 50 years, Boston Whaler has been building superior quality, unsinkable sportfishing,
