Dracan Marine Debuts
Dracan Marine Debuts at Cannes with the Dracan 42: The Catamaran Combining Nordic Minimalism and Mediterranean Elegance
At its first international appearance at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Dracan 42 generated great excitement among visitors and the nautical press. This debut marks Dracan Marine’s entry into the international market with its first model, the Dracan 42.
The Dracan 42 represents a turning point in the design of motor multihulls, combining contemporary aesthetics, high performance, and superior comfort in a single luxury vessel. Designed by Dracan Marine and built in collaboration with Model Art, one of the largest shipyards in Poland with over 20 years of experience, 25,000 square meters of production space, and more than 800 employees, the Dracan 42 stands out for its construction excellence. This is guaranteed by one of the industry’s leaders, with over 10,000 boats and yachts produced.
Designed to host moments of gathering and relaxation at sea, this catamaran redefines the cruising experience for groups, families, and enthusiasts by harmoniously blending entertainment and practicality with maximum safety and technological innovation in navigation.
The Dracan 42’s designer, Robert Błażejak, describes the vision that guided the development of the project: “I have always been passionate about automotive design, but I found yacht design much more fascinating because it combines speed and elegance on the water. When I started working in yacht design, I dedicated myself to multihulls, but I never accepted the existing design formulas. My mission is to change the perception of multihull design and transform the customer experience. Exterior design and styling have always been my strength.”
Dracan Marine Debuts
The Dracan 42 is conceived as a luxury yacht, designed to create convivial experiences onboard. With a length of 12.60 meters and a beam of 4.85 meters, this vessel offers 80 square meters of usable space between exterior and interior, making it competitive with much larger monohulls. The innovative design of the Dracan 42 breaks traditional multihull codes, capable of competing directly with monohulls not only in terms of performance but also in aesthetics and onboard comfort. Characterized by strong, expressive lines and distinctive features like hull gills, this catamaran explores new directions in multihull design, filling a gap in the market with a project that combines a modern, fresh exterior design inspired by contemporary automotive design with ample onboard space for guests.
Interior Style: Nordic Minimalism
The interiors of the Dracan 42 reflect a Nordic minimalist design philosophy, with particular attention to functionality and brightness. The interior spaces are designed to be airy and welcoming, creating an elegant and comfortable environment.
The three available configurations – Supreme, Voyage, and Holiday – offer different solutions to meet the specific needs of owners:
– Supreme: Two spacious and luxurious master cabins, each with a private bathroom, a separate walk-in shower, and a comfortable wardrobe. The interiors feature wood finishes, adjustable LED lighting, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure maximum comfort.
– Voyage: Includes one master cabin and two guest cabins, for a total of six berths. This configuration, designed for families or groups of friends, perfectly balances private space and hospitality capacity while maintaining a high standard of comfort.
– Holiday: A version designed for charter, with four double cabins and two bathrooms, capable of accommodating up to eight people. This configuration maximizes space for hospitality without sacrificing elegance and practicality in the interiors.
Each cabin is equipped with double beds, wood flooring, 230V sockets with USB, reading lamps, ample storage space, and high-end finishes.
Exterior Style: The Spirit of the South
The exterior of the Dracan 42 captures the essence of southern coastlines, with a design that emphasizes outdoor living and connection with the marine environment. The open layout, designed for sailing in warm waters such as the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, or Thailand, includes ample spaces for relaxation and socializing.

The main deck, completely barrier-free, features aft lounge areas with double sunbeds, perfect for relaxing in the sun. The spacious and well-equipped galley includes induction cooktops, a large refrigerator, an icebox, and plenty of storage for provisions, ensuring comfort and practicality for long cruises. The hardtop provides protection and shelter, while glass surfaces ensure brightness and ventilation, creating a comfortable environment in any condition. The bow, designed in a bowrider style, offers a separate relaxation area, ideal for private or convivial moments, while the versatile layout allows for enjoyment of the boat both underway and at anchor.
The propulsion system, with two Mercury outboard engines of 400 HP each, is strategically positioned under the sunbeds to reduce noise and optimize space. This brand-new catamaran is designed to ensure excellent performance with a cruising range between 120 and 140 nautical miles, maintaining an economical cruising speed between 20 and 23 knots. The maximum speed is 30 knots, ideal for short and medium-range cruises as well as luxury charters.
Cutting-Edge Technology and Innovation
The Dracan 42 is equipped with the latest technology to ensure safe and comfortable navigation. The navigation and communication system is managed via Nextfour’s Q-Experience touchscreen display, which allows total control of the boat’s technical and utility functions. The Q-Experience app enables remote monitoring of systems and levels, offering complete control even from a distance.
To meet the diverse needs of owners, Dracan Marine offers a wide range of equipment packages that enhance the functionality of the Dracan 42. Among these, the Autonomy Package, which includes a 95 l/h watermaker and 120W solar panels to ensure greater energy independence, and the Autonomy Plus Package, which adds 430W solar panels and a 4kW generator for total autonomy. The Navigation Package is designed for safe and intuitive navigation, thanks to a 24” Q-Display multifunction display, an intelligent management system, Simrad VHF, AIS, and autopilot. To facilitate maneuvering and improve life onboard, the Easy Life & Docking Package includes a bow thruster, a Zipwake dynamic control system, and a freshwater dock connection.
The Anchoring Package offers an anchor windlass with chain counter and a complete anchoring set to ensure greater ease and safety during mooring. Power supply options are customizable through different Electric Packages, which include inverters, chargers, and additional service batteries to meet the needs of any interior configuration. For those who desire a high-level audio experience, the Audio & Music Package offers a JL Bluetooth audio system with premium speakers. The Comfortable Package adds further onboard comforts, such as a hot water system, integrated electrical outlets, a refrigerator, an icebox, cockpit canopies, and adjustable tables. Finally, the Individual Packages enrich the boat with additional luxury options, including business cabins, multicolor LED lighting, and rain showers.
These advanced technological solutions ensure that every journey aboard the Dracan 42 is marked by maximum comfort and safety, even in the most challenging conditions.
Quality Construction and Sustainability
The Dracan 42 benefits from the collaboration with Model Art, one of the most important shipyards in Europe, which uses advanced infusion and injection technologies for composite materials. This production process significantly reduces volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions and improves the vessel’s structural robustness, ensuring both a high-quality product and a lower environmental impact. Thanks to these innovative methods, the Dracan 42 stands out for its durability and the sustainability of its production cycle.
