BAVARIA YACHTS and GENA YACHTS

Off Çeşme in Turkiye, the team from BAVARIA YACHTS and GENA YACHTS recently tested the new hardtop for the larger yachts in the BAVARIA C-LINE. The result: only top marks on the shipyard’s checklist.

BAVARIA YACHTS and GENA YACHTS-When a CEO, a product manager and one of the most important dealers of a shipyard arrange to go test sailing on a weekend in spring, it must be about something very important.

This recently happened at Port Alacati Marina in Çeşme, south of Izmir. Michael Müller, CEO of BAVARIA YACHTS, Udo Erbe, Product Manager for the shipyard’s sailing yachts, and the team from Gena Yachts boarded a BAVARIA C46 equipped with the new hardtop option. The purpose was to test the new hardtop for the C-LINE once again under the real conditions of a sailing trip.

In addition to the sprayhood and bimini top, BAVARIA YACHTS has been offering a hardtop as a new option on the price list for its larger sailing yachts BAVARIA C46, C50 and C57 since the new season. The elegant GRP hardtop has a large fabric sliding roof so that a clear view of the sails is always guaranteed.

After a few hours of sailing in the best winds and glorious sunshine, Product Manager Udo Erbe gave us the thumbs up: “It was pure sailing pleasure. Thanks to the hardtop with its large sliding roof, we were able to choose between sun or shade in the cockpit.”

In case of wind and spray from the front, the front part of the hardtop is fitted with a fabric windscreen and thus offers the same protection as a sprayhood. In the harbour, the camper cover with large viewing windows combined with the hardtop transforms the cockpit quickly and easily to a full cockpit tent. The solar panels on the hardtop provide additional battery charging.
