IN THE HISTORY OF THE MIAMI YACHT & BROKERAGE SHOW 2013
Ft. Lauderdale, FL. February 14, 2013 – The Ferretti Group, a world leader in the design, construction and sale of motor-yachts, comprising a unique portfolio of some of the most exclusive and prestigious brands in the nautical world, is proud to announce that it will have the largest amount of new yachts to be displayed in the history of the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show with 25 new yachts on display, including 4 US debuts.
The Ferretti Group continues to build on its success in the Americas where the Group completed a record year of sales in the American market for the second consecutive year. Latin America continues to be a very strong growth region for the Ferretti Group as the Group strengthens its dealer distribution network across nine countries including Puerto Rico, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, and the Dominican Republic.
The Ferretti Group has made a significant commitment to the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show with the largest in-water display of new yachts and record showcase of Ferretti Yachts, Pershing and Riva yachts at an American boat show. The highly anticipated Ferretti 870, Ferretti 690, Pershing 82 and Custom Line Navetta 26 Cresendo will be making their US debuts at this event and will be located on the Ferretti Group new yacht display on Ramp 21-23, directly across from the Eden Roc Hotel from February 14th through February 18th, 2013.
The Ferretti Group has chosen Miami to present the book devoted to the 170th anniversary of the Riva brand, once more confirming the strategic role of this Boat Show. “We are delighted to present this book in the United States, the world’s number-one market for the boating industry, where our Group is currently making considerable investments, including the opening of the new production facilities of Bertram Yacht – the legendary manufacturer of sport fisherman motor yachts and a brand of the Ferretti Group – in the ultra-modern marina in Merritt Island, Florida”, stated Ferruccio Rossi, Ferretti Group’s CEO. “We are extremely proud of having succeeded in collecting the elements that have fed the Riva ‘myth’ over the years, and keep feeding it day after day, into a highly prestigious book. We believe that being able to do so in the USA – a market that has always been in love with this brand – is yet another sign of how the Americas are going to ensure our Group a strategic business development over the next few years”.
“Taking part in this Boat Show with such a large number of new yachts represents a great success for the Ferretti Group, as it proves our strength on the American continent and our constant commitment to this region” declared James Henderson, Presidente and CEO of Ferretti Group America. “The Group will continue to reinforce the strategic importance of its Americas organization and is actively strengthening its presence throughout North America, along with growing its dealer presence in Latin America”, added Henderson.
New Model Descriptions:
The Ferretti 870 is yet another accomplishment resulting from the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project and Advanced Yacht Technology & Design (AYTD). The Ferretti 870 enhances some of the most successful features of its line and stands out for a large number of innovative design solutions, including the bronze dome over the navigation bridge and large glazing extending along the entire main deck and in the hull, at the cabins’ level. The two open-view windows in the master cabin, in particular, have now been joined by large windows with opening portholes in the guest cabins and two windows in the VIP cabin, which result in extraordinary indoor brightness and offer guests wonderful views. The increased length of this new model can be immediately perceived in the cockpit – so wide it can really be considered as an outdoor lounge where time can be pleasantly spent in good company. The teak table seating six/eight people has been joined, even in the standard version, by a functional bar unit located on the port side and beside the glazed door leading to the salon which includes a lower gunwale at the level of the dining area, a solution normally found on much larger yachts. The new Ferretti 870 comes with two 12V 2000 M94 MTU engines having a power of 1948 mph at 2450 rev/min. and allowing it to reach a cruising speed of 27 knots and a maximum speed of 30.5 knots. At the maximum speed, the boat has a range of 300 nautical miles, which increases to 358 nautical miles at cruising speed.
The new Ferretti 690 is yet another outstanding result of the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project, Advanced Yacht Technology & Design (AYTD). The Ferretti 690 marks a further step forward for the Ferretti Yachts fleet under 70 feet in length as its outer lines have been redesigned, resulting in a sportier and sleeker profile. The extensive use of glazed surfaces, in particular, makes the yacht’s exterior look lighter and ensures that plenty of natural light can brighten the interiors. The new model is a really sporty craft, featuring continuous glazing from stern to bow, which widens in the central part, reaching the gunwale. In the hull, the large open-view windows at the height of the master stateroom have now been joined by more glazing in the guest cabins and the forward VIP cabin. The sleek outer lines are further enhanced by the innovative flybridge, which features an elongated tail and ends in a small roll bar for the recessed installation of the SAT domes. The new yacht – approximately 69 feet long and 18′ 2″ wide – presents two available interior layouts, with three or four cabins. On the lower deck the two options are based on a different position of the stairs and on a different design of lobby, guest cabins and heads amidships. The full-beam owner cabin is even more functional and spacious. The decision to place the bathroom – with separate shower – and the large walk-in wardrobe towards the stern, increases the Owners’ privacy and the distance between this cabin and the engine room. The flybridge has been extensively renewed to ensure the maximum relaxation area. New generation engines have been selected: twin MAN V8, 1000 mhp in the standard version, with 1200 mhp as an option. These compact engines will save space in the engine room allowing for an optional second generator. When equipped with the standard engines, this yacht will reach a maximum speed of 30 knots (with a range of 280 nautical miles) and a cruising speed of 27 knots (in this case the range increases to 300 nautical miles). When the optional, more powerful engines are installed, the maximum speed will be 33 knots (with a range of 250 nautical miles), the cruising speed 30 knots (range – 280 nautical miles).
Pershing 82 ‘
The Pershing 82’ features cutting edge design, excellent performance and top comfort for on board living. Penciled once again by the yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, in collaboration with Advanced Yacht Technology & Design – the naval research and design center of the Ferretti Group. From above, the eye-capturing feature of the Pershing 82’ is its sun-deck with optional retractable helm station. This area can be reached by means of an innovative carbon fiber staircase that is lowered automatically into the cockpit by an electro-hydraulic control, the staircase disappears upwards when not used, leaving a wide free space in the cockpit. Aft is a sunbathing area with separate backrests which – upon the ship owner’s request – can fold electrically. Down on the main-deck, one of the most comfortable areas, is the wide space in the cockpit and main salon. This space is divided by one of Pershing’s staple features: a retractable door which is electro-hydraulically controlled and opens both the salon and cockpit into one large area by lowering into the floor. Offering typical amenities found on megayachts alike, the galley, which is L-shaped, modern and completely separate from the salon and the sleeping area, to allow greater privacy for the ship owner and his guests. Below deck the Pershing 82′ can be built in two different versions. The standard layout has 4 guest cabins and the optional layout has 3 guest cabins with a lounge cinema room starboard. The side windows are wider and the portholes can be opened, providing more air and luminosity in the ensuite heads, VIP and twin berth cabins. The Pershing 82 is equipped with two 2435 hp MTU engines with surface propulsion system together with Rolla surface piercing propellers, capable of reaching top speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed of 38 knots, with a range of 300 nautical miles. The propulsion system is run by AUTOTRIM, an exclusive functionality that optimizes the performance and the consumption of the boat at any speed and with any load, in a completely automatic manner.
Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26 Cresendo
The Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26 Crescendo was quickly recognized as one of the most prestigious luxury yachts in the world. The Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26 Crescendo is 85 ft in length and almost 22 ft in width, a natural development in the compact semi-displacement line. The result of the close working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project and the Ferretti Group’s Advanced Yacht Technology & Design (AYTD). All areas on the interior design of the Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26 Cresendo can be entirely personalized as its loving owner chooses. The Navetta 26 Crescendo features classical lines in which innovative solutions of both a formal and functional nature have been developed in order to increase on-board space, put it to even better use, and make it more comfortable. Specially designed for those owners who prefer a leisurely cruise in complete silence and total comfort, this crescendo yacht also features a nice flow to her interior and exterior design to perfectly complement its voluminous body and stylistic name. Three full decks seamlessly integrate into the exterior lines of the vessel. New design features have been incorporated such as a large extended sun-deck, a new sliding glazed door system, and a reduced draft of under 6 feet for sailing in the US and Caribbean. The full beam owner suite is located at bow in a most privileged position. Furthermore, the new yacht once again confirms the high level of attention the Ferretti Group pays to the environment, guaranteeing excellent consumption efficiency and a considerable sailing range.
